Throwback Thursday this week, goes to Tommy Malkmus. Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Tommy played 2 seasons of Junior Hockey. His journey took him to El Paso, TX, then back to his hometown team in North Dakota, and to the Topeka (Atlanta) Capitals hockey club.
Tommy wouldn’t change anything along his way and the people he met.” Playing juniors was one of the best decisions I could’ve done for my career, my time in juniors helped develop my skills as a player and grow as person” said Malkmus.
Malkmus' time with the Capitals was well spent and nothing short of spectacular. Tommy amassed 22 points with 14 goals in only 8 games, while finishing his last year of juniors with the Capitals.
Tommy now is playing his College Hockey at Finlandia University, but won’t forget his time with the Capitals organization. “My time with the Capitals played a big part along the way to help me reach the College level” said Malkmus.
